Through the counseling process, we will engage in conversation pertaining to processing information, feelings and events that are impacting your current emotional, physical and mental well- being. This process is a collaborative measure between counselor and client. Together, we will work to identify areas of difficulty and develop treatment goals and a plan that will assist in finding solutions to move towards healing and an overall sense of personal peace. 

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy tries to identify and change negative thinking patterns and pushes for positive behavioral changes. DBT may be used to treat suicidal and other self- destructive behaviors. DBT also focuses on thought processes and shifting our mindsets.

Solution Focused Therapy

Solution Focused Therapy places more emphasis on discussing and developing solutions rather than a specific problem. Solution Focused Therapy does include discussion of a given problem but beyond the discussion comes deciding how to address the problem. Rather than focusing particularly on the past, we will work towards a clients present circumstances and how to work towards the future.
